A team you can count on

Our story

Named after a remote, locals-only, swimming spot in  Newport, Rhode Island, Blue Rocks was created  in 1992,  on a per diem basis out of a small church kitchen. The space quickly grew to be too small after gaining popularity in the wedding and sailing industry. Blue Rocks has since catered thousands of events for high-level clients as well as intimate private parties.  We are a company that believes in using high quality, seasonal ingredients and local purveyors. In 2016, Blue Rocks moved to  its forever home to beautiful Westerly, Rhode Island

By the age of five, I was creating menus and presenting them to my parents and siblings, inviting them to choose their meal as if they were guests in my own dining room. Growing up in a large Italian family, our home was always filled with celebration, with food at the heart of every gathering.

Holidays meant my sister and I carefully setting the table with my mom’s china, while I worked alongside my dad and brother creating elaborate antipasto platters. Meals lasted for hours—unfolding over multiple courses, flowing wine, and ending with my mom’s biscotti or my Aunt Donna’s cherry walnut cake, always followed by espresso with Sambuca. From the incredible women in my family, I learned that food is a powerful expression of love, and that thoughtful details are what transform a meal into a meaningful experience.

That lifelong passion led me to pursue a culinary education at Johnson & Wales University.  I built my career in event management in Miami before returning home to New England in 2011, to join Blue Rocks Catering,  a company I have been proud to own and lead since 2016.

Today, I bring that same passion, intention, and attention to detail to every event I create. My goal is simple: to make people feel welcomed, celebrated, and cared for—one beautifully curated table and unforgettable meal at a time.
